Eireland was a country in the world of Cittàgazze equivalent to Ireland in Lyra's and Will's world. Joachim Fell mentioned to the witch Serafina Pekkala that ambassadors from Eireland mingled with tobacco sellers, commedia players from Bergamo and dealers in fortune bonds in the courts and squares of the cities of the world of Cittàgazze.[1]
