This town hall was a glum-looking building in Novy Odense that was built of what looked like dark stone. Along with St Petronius' Oratory and a bank, it cast a disapproving air on the town. The hall had wooden chairs.
Behind the stage, there was a wood-panelled room called the parlous where Lee Scoresby met Ivan Poliakov and Pierre McConville for the first time. There was also a model of a gas-gun on a table near the fireplace when Lee first arrived in the parlour.
