Pronunciation[]

Does anyone know how this town's name is pronounced? Should this information be in the article?

My own personal opinion is that since the name is clearly Italian, the "zz" should be pronounced with an implied "t" before it, making the pronunciation (in English terms "sit-ah-gats-a". This can be seen in English words derived from Italian, such as "pizza" and "mezzanine". -- RobertATfm (talk) 21:42, July 23, 2012 (UTC)

In Italian, when 'c' comes before 'e' or 'i' it becomes what an English speaker would transcribe as 'ch', as in "cheese". You can see this in the Italian greeting "Ciao". The letter 'e' could be represented by 'eh' transcribed for an English reader. It's something a bit more like 'chi ta GAT zeh'. For anyone familiar with IPA, it would be [tʃitta'gaddze] - Amyosaurus 12:55, September 29, 2012 (UTC)
